Once again, India topped the list as the biggest source market of tourists. Around 1.97 million Indian tourists visited Dubai in 2019. Saudi Arabia was in second place.

There were large rises in the numbers of visitors from Oman, China, Russia, the Philippines, France, Egypt, Nigeria, and Kazakhstan. Gains were offset by a drop in arrivals from countries such as the UK, Germany, Pakistan, Kuwait, and Iran.

Figures for 2020 will show a fall in the number of tourists visiting Dubai. The pandemic has had a significant impact on tourism in Dubai and the UAE. Total visitor spending in Dubai for the year was $30.82 billion. Overnight visitors to Dubai spent an average of 3.5 nights in the city.
